Thermal Chambers - Sound Attenuation

The sound from thermal chambers  can be attenuated with a number of additions typically sold as a sound attenuation package.

Cyrogenic Sound Attenuation is achieved by quieting the exhaust from the thermal chamber. This is achieved by using inTEST Thermal Solutions custom VQM exhaust assembly. Note that the VQM Sound Attenuation package can only be used with Liquid Nitrogen (LN-2) Systems.

Mechanical Sound Attenuation is achieved by setting the compressor unit to the rear of the compartment and then adding a sound wall between the compressor and front of the chamber. This wall and other interior walls are then insulated with a thick sound deadening material to further reduce compressor noise. This design is particularly well suited to clean environments as the air intake is thus moved to the bottom of the stand and accumulated dirt on the condenser coils is not obvious.
